Sengiggi Lombok 2010

This resort enjoys a 160m frontage to Senggigi Beach with views across Lombok Strait to Gunung Agung volcano on Bali.

Entry to the breeze-block reception is via a walled sand garden. An axial timber walkway then connects the restaurant, Wallace Lounge, pool and decks overlooking the beach. The villas spread out either side along the beach.

The materials were sourced from Lombok using local building and craft traditions such as split river stone, concrete breeze-blocks (losta), terracotta floor tiles, shell inlay timber panels. Traditional Lombok ikat cloths, pottery and baskets are used for room accessories.
