Mt Buller Victoria 2006

This is a 6 level apartment building with views over Shakey Knees towards the upper Victorian alps.

The design negotiates the slope of Summit Rd providing access at ground floor front and 4th floor rear. The slope is retained with a stand-alone wet wall over 3 levels clear of the dry building wall.

Construction is continuous pre-cast panels with infill post tensioned floors. The interior is lined with a sealed thermal skin. This is a fast building technique in the short summer construction season using only a crane and no scaffold. The exterior timber panels and screens were pre-fabricated on steel frames off-mountain and craned to position.
